When you got to go, but you don't want to go

So, it rained on Christmas Eve.  Really rained.  Like pouring down rain for hours (literally).  We had huge puddles in the backyard.....

and a corgi that had to take care of business, if you get my drift.

A reluctant corgi.......

You want me to go out there??  I don't think so......

My husband coaxed him out on the lawn.  There, Winslow decided maybe he wanted to play ball, but......

He eventually took care of business.  (This was shortly afterwards, lol).

  1. We have had a lot of rain here, too. I guess Winslow realized he wouldn’t melt!

    1. At least you didn't have snow, right? Though a White Christmas might have been nice!

    1. I know. I tried to avoid being out in it. That's why hubby is out there with the umbrella :)

  4. Winslow is so sweet. We got Gracie a doggie umbrella right before the hurricane rains started earlier this year and what a lifesaver it was! Yea. I agree. The things we do for out pets... I will have to do a series of blogs on that one. lol. Sometimes I can post comments, and other times they just disappear. It is so frustrating...

    1. Might have to look for a doggie umbrella for Winslow :) If you do a series on what we do for our pets, will look forward to reading it!

  5. I swear to God if I miss a post I apologize. I don't seem to recognize the new name as being your blog. I don't blame him for not wanting to go out. I'm glad he finally did his business!
Happy New Year to you and your family. Take care and God Bless.

    1. It's okay, Debby. I bet you'll get the hang of the new blog name. Another blog I follow changed her name of it and confused me for a bit. Happy New Year to you and yours!

  6. Our girls are just like Winslow, too! I've bought them little raincoasts (that they don't wear), to no avail. Crazy. They refuse to go out back, but if I put their leashes on them and we go out the front door that's a whole 'nother ball of wax. Silly girls.
Crazy, all the rain you're experiencing. We were watching the football game from Chase Field last night and I'm like ... "Whaaaaat? It's pouring in Phoenix?"

    1. Maybe it is more of an adventure if they are on their leashes! It just poured for a good 5 hours straight Christmas Eve! Then it stopped for a bit and started up again! They said in Phoenix we got over an inch of rain. I'm thinking it was more!

  7. THANKS for the laughs and smiles lady. Have you noticed some folks are crazy over their pets?? LOL Great entry, loved the imagination to say "That will do good in the blog."

  8. Alaska gets 3-4 walks a day regardless of weather. You can imagine how fun that is in a Nor'easter or blizzard. And despite being a husky, she's not a fan of the cold, so she has to bundle up in her coats and or rain gear for the adventure.

    1. I admire your persistence in getting Alaska out for her daily walks! If it is not good weather, i.e. rain, we tend to not walk Winslow and I'm sure he misses it. Our first corgi, Koda, I walked him in any type of weather, freezing cold, rain, etc. Maybe I'm too old to do that now :)
